John Robert (Bob) Sparger, the Principal of CorpGov Partners LLC, is a former Fortune 500 executive and is recognized as a subject matter expert in SEC/FASB research and GAAP. He has significant industry and consulting experience in financial reporting; accounting and business analysis; internal control and compliance activities; commercial and business support; process redesign and improvement; and dispute resolution. Mr. Sparger has authored articles on accounting and reporting issues and disclosures. He has also developed and taught several continuing professional education courses. Mr. Sparger serves on the board of Collaborative for Children in Houston, Texas and is Audit Committee Chair. He has a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kennesaw State University, MBA from Southern Methodist University, and BBA in Accounting and BA in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Sparger is a CPA, Certifed Fraud Examiner, and CGMA.
